Need help with putting your best face forward? With licensed architects and contractors as members of our board, DAI can help you to make your business look its best while remaining in compliance with local design ordinances.
DAI organizes several promotional events each year that draw hundreds of people to Downtown Augusta. These include a spaghetti supper, a chili competition and feed, the fall Red Brick Harvest Festival and carnival as well as other events throughout the year. DAI members also receive discounted booth rental or vendor space at DAI-sponsored events.
DAI helps keep residents and merchants informed about downtown developments through personal visits, press releases, social media and our monthly newsletter. We also assist members by providing contact information for business loans, potential grants and tax credit opportunities.
Free Advertising and Promotion
DAI offers free advertising to members through weekly features on our website and social media. Members may also be promoted during special downtown events. Free assistance with marketing development and company public relations is provided by our Economic Restructuring Committee.
Liaison With Local Government
DAI acts as a liaison between city government and downtown businesses and organizations. We give advice to help you navigate city requirements for design, zoning and how to hold special events to enhance, grow and preserve our historic downtown district.
